Based in Stone Mountain, Georgia, the ever-pleasant, sunny south, I write primarily about spirituality and healing, but also cover parenthood, marriage, issues surrounding community engagement and empowerment, and so much more.
Born in Boston, Massachusetts, to West African immigrants from Ghana, my family relocated to Rochester, New York where I graduated from the State University of New York at Geneseo.
Although I have only recently begun calling myself a writer, I have cherished writing all my life. At Geneseo I created Our Time, the University’s first arts and literary magazine to give students a venue for creative expression. It’s humbling to see that after all these years Our Time is still up and serving.
I spent a decade or so living in New York City doing everything from waiting tables, bartending, acting, -even being a back up singer for a local band.
Here in Georgia I have had the opportunity to be a spokesperson, media contact, and lobbyist. I have written a number of articles about spirituality and the efficacy of prayer that have been published in local papers around the state.
I am married to the lovely Karama Neal. Our beautiful daughter Ayoka hurls darts of joy at us every second of the day.
